The COTY expands to Romania and News from Tannistest

Welcome a new Jury member from Romania

We are happy to announce that The Car of the Year Jury Group has been expanded to include a new member from Romania. Now the active Jury Group consists of 60 members from 23 countries.

Goodbye and thanks to Phil McNamara from UK

Phil leaves the Jury group, and he says:

“After a wonderful 21 years I am leaving Car magazine on 31 July. As a result, I am resigning from the COTY jury with immediate effect. It’s been a huge pleasure to serve as a juror these past 16 years, alongside great journalists and good people. Best of luck with the Car of the Year in future years, it’s a meaningful and democratic award and I hope you can further enhance its significance.”

Tannistest 2024

The planning for the Tannistest 2024 is running well, and we expect both a lot of candidate cars and a lot of Jurors this year. Please visit our website for more details (www.tannistest.com).

The dates for Tannistest this year are September 21st to 26th 2024.

The important dates for COTY 2025:

• September 21st to 26th: Tannistest
• November 15th: Finalization of the long list
• November 22nd: First round voting.
• November 25th: Short list publication.

The date and location for the short list test drives and for the announcement of the COTY 2025 are to be confirmed on a later date.
