Joost Bolle, new Belgian juror

Car of The year
Joost Bolle, 60, is the new Jury member from Belgium for Car of the Year 2021 award. He succeeds Tony Verhelle, who steps down as a juror for age reasons.

Responsible for car reporting in ‘Het Laatste Nieuws’, the newspaper with largest circulation in Belgium, Joost also writes a weekly automotive column in the financial magazine ‘Trends Tendances’. He entered the journalism scene as a translator, and as a freelance writer he firstly focused in motorsport and IT. After years of reporting on the digital world for his current newspaper, he had the opportunity of mixing journalism and his passion for cars. He writes about new models and technical themes, of course, but also about the industrial, financial and social aspects of the quick-changing automotive world as a whole. In his free time, Joost is an active cyclist too.
