New Jury members in Switzerland and Netherlands

Car of the Year 2020 award renews its Jury. New members have been announced in United Kingdom and Poland, and now also in Switzerland and Netherlands.

Andreas Faust, 48, heads the Auto and Mobility department in Ringier AG, supplying several publications of the Zurich-based editorial group. Andreas, who started his career in Baertschi Media, comes ro replace the veteran Urs Baertschi, a CotY juror since 1989.

In the Netherlands, Peter Hilhorst, 38, replaces another long-standing member, Ton Roks, stepping down from the Jury for age reasons. Peter, a motoring writer since 2001 in different publications -including the Dutch edition of ‘auto motor und sport’- and an accomplished road tester and video specialist, belongs to De Telegraaf group since 2007.

Car of the Year 2020 award also announces these days a provisional list of candidates, while the final candidate list will be known on October 14th. After a first vote, a short list with seven finalists will be announced on November 25th. The last vote will be finalized in February 28th, 2020, and the single winner proclaimed in Geneva on March 2nd, 2020. In the meanwhile, Jury members will have a special test chance of candidates in Tannisby, Denmark (21 – 26 September), and then the seven finalist will be available in T.M. Winter Test in Finland (13 – 24 January 2020) and Mortefontaine, France (17 – 18 February 2020).
