Tannistest 2016

Car of The year
The usual venue in Northern Denmark has seen a new edition of Tannistest, the week-long testing event arranged by the six Nordic members of Car of the Year Jury and backed by the media they work for.

Sixty-odd cars, representing 26 models that are likely candidates for CotY 2017 award, were available to assess and photograph. One of the contenders, the Toyota Mirai, was also present last year in Tannis. Tannistes 2016 recorded the presence of other exotic candidates, as the Bentley Bentayga. The final list of 2017 candidates will be officially issued on 18 November 2016, and shortly after there will be seven nominees ready for the final vote. The winner will be announced in the eve of Geneva Motor Show, on 6 March 2017.

Eighteen CotY Jury members from fifteen countries attended Tannistest 2016, and some former jurors also did. The occasion allowed not just conventional driving, as the usual scene of Sindal airstrip hosted the customary ‘elk test’ and also autonomous emergency braking exercises.
