Cupra Tavascan

19/09/2024 - Car of The year

After the compact Born unveiled in 2022, Cupra is continuing the electrification of its range with a second model, the Tavascan. This SUV coupé, cousins of the VW ID.5, Skoda Enyaq Coupé and Audi Q4 e-tron, foreshadows the future style of a manufacturer that has the wind in its sails.

The look and dimensions of the Cupra Tavascan

The Cupra Tavascan has a sporty and modern design that truly distinguishes it from its cousins based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform. Its exterior is distinguished by sculpted and dynamic lines, faithful to the new Cupra DNA, with a visual identity marked by an imposing bumper and above all a front and rear light signature in triangles. The side profile is characterized by alloy wheels of up to 21 inches, which add to the dynamism of the Iberian electric SUV. At the rear, the light strip connecting the rear lights is stamped with the brand's logo, also illuminated as on the bonnet. As usual, the brand's typical copper details underline the "sporty" look.

Inside, the same goes for the Cupra Tavascan that makes you forget its affiliation and offers an atmosphere like nowhere else, marked by that floating center console in the shape of a backbone. The latter is topped by a large 15-inch touchscreen for multimedia, while the driver is entitled to a small digital instrumentation. In terms of dimensions, the Tavascan is 4.64 m long, 1.86 m wide and 1.61 m high. The wheelbase stretches over 2.77 m. Finally, as far as the trunk is concerned, the Tavascan offers a carrying capacity of 540 dm3.
