| Following the usual procedure,
the 58 members of the Jury had to make a simple vote in the
first round of the election of Car of the Year 2003. From
the 30 contenders for the award they nominated seven cars
for the short list. They were as follows:Citroën
C3, Ford
Fiesta, Honda
Jazz, Mazda6,
Mercedes-Benz
E-class, Opel/Vauxhall
Vectra and Renault
Mégane.
