New Jury members from Austria, France and Italy

The Jury Committee of Car of the Year 2019 award has confirmed the appointment of four new Jury members, on top of C.J. Lejland, previously announced here.

From Austria we have Dieter Hubmann (51), top responsible for motoring information in “Kleine Zeitung” paper and successor to Gerhard Nöhrer, a member of CotY Jury for 23 years. Dieter, awarded Journalist of the Year in Styria in 2016, is a Kleine Zeitung staffer since 1987 and has performed different tasks in the paper, including redesigning several sections and is now in charge of development for print and online activities.

Frenchman Sylvain Reisser (50) is chief editor for automotive information and car tester for all publications of “Le Figaro” group, including the weekly supplement and the website of the largest daily paper in France. Sylvain has a degree in Law and started his career as a journalist in 1989, as a vintage car writer, entering Le Figaro magazine in 2001. He succeeds Thierry Etienne in the Jury.

Two new recruits from Italy. Guido Costantini (59) takes the baton from Diego Eramo, a member of the Jury since 2000. Guido has been writing about cars, design, car industry and economy in important Italian motoring magazines for forty years. Since 2006 he is the editor of “alVolante”, the car mag of Casa Editrice Universo; and is also responsible of alVolante.it website since 2009. Gian-Luca Pellegrini (53) has been working in “Quattroruote” magazine since 1990 in several positions of increasing responsibility. In 2011 he became deputy editor in chief, also in charge of all digital content for Quattroruote brand. In 2014 Gian-Luca was appointed editor in chief of Quattroruote and 11 more publications related to the main title. As a juror he succeeds Massimo Nascimbene.
